Olivia Farrar

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Starting in 2006, my work has been devoted to mediation and arbitration, primarily construction, business, employment, and securities matters. Alongside my mediation and arbitration practice, I teach legal drafting in law firms, at law schools and for bar associations.

I have experience resolving construction disputes of all sizes, and am well versed in construction and contract law. In addition, I have hands-on experience managing residential renovation and construction.

From 2003 to 2006, I worked as an attorney for Hogan & Hartson on a wide variety of matters, including corporate, litigation, international trade and intellectual property. Prior to working for Hogan & Hartson, I worked with a trial judge and an appellate judge, and helped draft an international treaty on the enforcement of judgments.

I received my JD from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003, my PhD in Romance Languages from Princeton University in 1997, and my BA in Romance Languages from Princeton University in 1983. I am fluent in French and English, and conversant in Spanish and German.
