JIM REDFORD

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Jim Redford has been a licensed Architect since 1968.  His experience is varied, with projects ranging from design of military housing in the Philippines, management for Grand Prix racetrack construction in Dallas, university campus planning on numerous campuses throughout the United States and in Viet Nam, design of out-patient surgery centers, hospital design in the Middle East, and large and small residential home design.  After practicing in Houston and Dallas for 30 years, Jim and his wife moved to Silver City, New Mexico, in 1989 and work together from their home office.

Redford’s experience as a generalist in his practice has earned him a reputation for fairness and creative problem solving.  He is well known for bringing together parties with disparate opinions and interests in order to complete projects within budget and on schedule.

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

Jim received his Bachelor of Arts (1964) and Bachelor of Architecture (1965) degrees from Rice University in Houston, Texas.  He has completed the University of New Mexico basic mediation course, and the CDRS training program in Theory, Practice and Rules of Arbitration in Albuquerque.
