JERRY HUCKABY

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Some of the more notable projects that Jerry has worked on as a Field Engineer and/or Assistant Superintendent include: the National Headquarters for the Boy Scouts of America, the Dallas Amphitheater, the Sam Walton Basketball Arena – University of Arkansas, the Dallas Convention Center Addition with parking garage and heliport, silicon chip manufacturing plants, multi-story office buildings and sewage treatment plant.

In addition to the above building construction projects, Jerry has a diverse surveying experience (construction staking) related to his construction background. He has surveyed for and has expertise on non building projects such as: dams, bridges, water and sewer mains, tunnels, pump stations, lift stations, storm sewers, highways, telephone and electrical vaults, and the list goes on and on. He also has been involved with and has an expertise in the areas of: boundary surveys, topographical surveys, aerial surveys, infrastructures of sub-divisions and other surveying disciplines.

It is unusual to find an individual with such a diverse construction background and so many areas of expertise. Jerry’s perspective has always been to be involved in the construction field, “as a hands on” type person, wanting to know how it goes together, what is it’s purpose, is there a better way to do it, is it safe and according to code. With this perspective and all his knowledge in the many and various types of construction he has been involved with, he brings a unique understanding to the construction dispute process. In addition, his diverse background and experience sets him out as a candidate to be an expert witness in relation to the multitude of construction processes that he is familiar with in either an arbitration or as an expert in any construction-related litigation proceeding.
