GENERAL OVERVIEW

Ira A. Freydkis, JD, LLM, has 22 years experience in successfully resolving construction and real estate related disputes as an arbitrator, mediator and litigator.

Mr. Freydkis also serves an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association, the California Contractors’ State Licensing Board and as a mediator for the Superior and Appellate Courts, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing and the California Department of Insurance.

In addition, Mr. Freydkis has a Legal Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law.

Since 1984, Mr. Freydkis has successfully represented clients in over 1000 arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, negotiations and trials.

As a mediator, Mr. Freydkis has assisted parties in reaching resolution in over 300 cases. Every case involves both personal and professional issues and interests that need to be addressed and understood.  Mr. Freydkis takes the time to listen to, and communicate with, the parties in a manner that turns impasse into settlement. It is in recognizing the difference between personal and professional perspective that Mr. Freydkis is uniquely qualified to bring the parties together in resolution. Mr. Freydkis is committed to keeping the parties involved in the mediation process while guiding them to an effective resolution.

As an arbitrator, Mr. Freydkis has presided in over 200 arbitrations for the American Arbitration Association, the California Contractors’ Licensing Board and the San Francisco Superior Court. Mr. Freydkis brings his experience and expertise to bear in realistically evaluating cases so as to render decisions that provide both equitable and legal closure.
